2020 Hindsight: Eras End
I got a little reflective on the 185th day of 2020. On 7/13/2020, a neighbor who has lived in town for as long as I have lived here (and probably many years before) posted on the community FB page that he is moving out of town to a retirement community "down the Shore." And, this week, it's the last week at work for a long time colleague on my project. And it got me thinking about my 2020 Hindsight for tonight, Eras End. Nothing is forever, and that can be sad, at times, as good people leave your town, or your project. But it also means that this COVID era will end soon too. Well maybe not soon, but eventually. So here's to remembering the good eras, and staying in touch with those who made them special. And here's to looking forward to the end of eras that we hope will end sooner than later. And here's to enjoying the good eras in which we are living now.
